This years National Windsurfing Festival will be held at Inn On The Beach, Beachlands, Hayling Island on 7th-8th & 9th September 2012 kindly sponsored by Havant Borough Council. Over the last 5 years this event has taken its place as the largest windsurfing event of the national calendar, designed purely for the free-ride sailor.

This years entry is £40 and you get the following:
- There are 2 main fleets. The National Fleet which is for sailors who have competed on the national circuit and The Free-ride fleet for all those sailors who have never entered or competed on the National circuit. This by far the largest fleet which is where the normal windsurfing weekend warrior should enter. There are various categories including, pre-millennium and pre 1985 equipment and even fancy dress.
- A series of master blaster races over the weekend with each one being sponsored by different windsurfing importers with a prize giving after each race giving you the opportunity to literally win prizes galore. (A master blast race consists simply of a sailor completing a beach start, sail out to a buoy and gybe, tack or swim round and then return back to the beach) This is what everyone does at their local lake or beach.
- There will be on-shore clinics conducted by Jem Hall, Jim Collis, Dave White, Peter Hart and Ant Baker.
- There is also the opportunity to make a team of 3 sailors from the free-ride and national fleet for the overall team prize being calculated from the 3 individual sailors results from whole series of races throughout the weekend.
- There will be an opportunity to enter the elimination rounds (Freewave/Wave/Freestyle) and if successful, to compete in the unique night windsurf competition under the flood lights.
- The largest windsurfing trade exhibition in the country. Options to demo products with the added opportunity to drool over the 2012 equipment.
- There will be a Pro Tag Team competition, where you may get the opportunity (If selected) to be one of the lucky ones who get the opportunity to join one of the many sponsored teams.
- Opportunity to rub shoulders with many of our countries professional sailors.
- Free entry to the famous NWF VIP fancy dress party with live entertainment by the Heathrow jets. Additional party tickets are £20.
- Free parking for all competitors during the whole weekend within the designated NWF carpark.
- The first 300 competitors who enter online will be allocated a free unique 2011 NWF rash vest the remainder being sold at £20.
